En découdre

(we use the French expression "vouloir en découdre" to mean that a conflictual situation will be resolved by physical and verbal violence)
Approximately 15 minute performance, 2025
Multicolored scarps, 2025
Headphones and audio recording of the text available in the installation when the performance is not taking place, 2025

This project is an invitation to those who have felt the weight
of oppression
of a system
of an act
of a word

To those who want
to undo history
to better understand it
through voice
through stitching
A form of resistance emerges
each thread
each fabric
each gesture
becomes an act of rescue
Everyone is invited to add
their chapter
their memory,
to the collective sail
To stitch their piece
that represents the tear
To assemble it
to mend it onto the broken parachute
which gathers fragments
silences
stories pushed aside
Together
we stitch our remnants
We add volume
symbolic bandages
We let go
and we heal
in our own way.
