Sostener la tierra

“Sostener la tierra” is a film that emerged from a dream the artist had upon arriving in Switzerland. In it, a group of people walked slowly, carrying fragments of tierra that floated with the movement of their bodies, in dialogue with the surrounding mountains. The video explores the notion of territory not as a fixed geographical space, but as something carried in the body, in memory, and in language.
In a world marked by visible and invisible borders, this work considers the body as its own territory, a mobile home that carries all that we are. In the tension between weight and lightness, between rootedness and movement, topics of belonging, migration, and resistance are displayed.
