This film documents the artist’s travel with a camcorder to an island in Croatia, a place she have visited every summer since childhood. It combines video footage, conversations, and historical and political fragments woven with a dialogue with her aunt and her friend. During the trip, they talked about Bleiburg in Austria, where an event previously unknown to me happened at the end of the WW2. It led the artist to a ongoing research on neo-Nazis and Ustašas in Croatia. Using a methodology that includes different perceptions and media—drawing, camera, and text— she searches for and connect these elements, building a narrative on history, its resonance and the questions it rises for her today.
